One of the fundamental
tenets of the Multicultural Women’s Council lies in the continuous
development of our members. While the members over time inevitably
change and become more diverse, the philosophy of encouraging
personal growth will forever remain at the core of our legacy
that recognizes that people are the organization’s greatest
assets. The

Research consistently concludes that having a mentoring program,
whether formal or informal enhances a company’s diversity
efforts, results in lower turnover, and often serves as a
secondary vehicle to career development systems. Additionally,
the emerging workforce presents a number of exciting challenges
for organizations that seek to maximize intellectual capital
through the development of its workforce. In fact, mentorship
in many respects has been proven to serve as a pathway
to career success.
